ultrabite™ a pheromone formula

Pheromones play a pivotal role in the biology of fish and are involved in reproduction, shoaling, feeding and migration.
After seven years of research, the Ultrabite™ pheromone formula was developed by CEFAS (Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science), a British Government Agency.

A British company called Kiotech International was working in a similar field and pooled resources with CEFAS. Together they continued to develop both species-specific products and to develop the use of Ultrabite in conjunction with grain-based foods to feed fish in farms.

The fish farming industry, that has had to rely on fish protein as fish food, can now use the less expensive pheromone enhanced food substitutes for feeding the fish.
By stimulating an increase in aggressive feeding, this scientific breakthrough has reduced the problem of uneaten food leaking from aquaculture sites into surrounding sea beds.

Usually, the fish’s five senses of smell, taste, sound, touch and sight are used by other lure manufacturers to attract fish.
Slam with Ultrabite™ pheromones works directly on the fish’s instinct, attracting them to the lure and then stimulating aggressive behaviour.
The result is increased strike rates and is effective on both fresh and saltwater fish species.

When fish come close to investigate your lure, the Ultrabite™ pheromones trigger them into striking. Convert follows and short strikes into positive and aggressive bites.

This technology is so successful, that it has actually been banned from some fishing tournaments in Europe.
